The week of Pontianak State Polytechnic (Polnep) 37th Anniversary Celebration was officially commenced on Monday (22/4) morning. The opening ceremony was conducted on the front yard of Polnep Directorate Building and attended by management, lecturers, administrative staff, and students. In addition, there were 59 inbound students of Merdeka Student Exchange (PMM) Program Batch 4 of 2024 attended the opening ceremony as well. Director of Polnep H. Widodo PS. accompanied by former directors and vice directors symbolically launched the week of anniversary celebration by releasing balloons to the air.
This year’s anniversary, Polnep chose the theme of “Collaboration in Realizing Green Campus”. Director Widodo PS. stated that Polnep had a high commitment to issues of environmental sustainability and anticipation of climate change. He also mentioned that several programs in 2024 that would be launched by Polnep included infrastructure management, energy efficiency and conversion, waste management, and water conservation.
To make the 37th Anniversary Celebration special, the committee organized some activities and competitions for a whole week starting from 22 up to 27 April 2024. Here is the complete timeline for the events:
